Our Team

  • Program Director

The Program Director is responsible for overseeing all operations and logistics of Thrive Seattle members. The Program Director trains and supervises Coaches and Event Leaders to ensure the Thrive members are supported where they need it. The Program Director also coordinates with parents and providers.

  • Coaches

The Coaches are Master’s level professionals who meet with each Thriver frequently. The Coaches review weekly schedules and goals and support progress the Thrive member determines. Also, if challenging situations arise, the Coaches work closely with the Thrive member, the staff team and parents and providers to problem solve.

  • Event Leaders

The Event Leaders bring in community through Social Gathers, Cooking Classes, Dungeons and Dragons, other interests and community events. Each Thrive member chooses their preferred activities for weekly interaction and involvement. The Event Leaders promote positive communication and problem solving at the group level, naturally creating connections amongst peers.

Our Process

  • Intake and Application

The intake process is comprised of written questionnaires, a telephone interview with parent(s), and in-person intake meetings with the young adult. During this period, independent living skills goals are identified and admission to Thrive or referral to other resources is determined.

  • Orientation

During this time, independent living skills goals are further refined and community activities are established.

  • Independent Living

The core component of the program is a one year period in which the young adult works with the program staff team to implement independent living skills goals. A standard residential lease is signed as well as an agreement for community expectations.

  • Alumni Program

Following the one year independent transition phase, the Thriver and their family may continue at the same services level or they may select a pricing option that allows for ongoing community participation and/or coaching services, but at a lower level of frequency.
